Endorsed artiste for Sfarzo Strings

Sfarzo are the best strings I've ever played.  The V-strings have and depth of tone, terrific control and are light and comfortable to play, I love them!

I am now officially endorsed by Sounds Great Music of Heald Green, Manchester. Fantastic music store with everything from beginner gear right through to industry-standard equipment for pros. Mark Lyon is a great guy to deal with, brilliant customer service - and, like myself, a licensed radio ham.

Sounds Great was originally founded in 1977 by Mark's dad Phil, and my dad Roger was a regular customer for many years. In fact, my dad bought me a Yamaha RBX fretless bass from here when I was 17 (1987) - a bass that I am have been using in the studio this year for recording sessions!

Always & Forever" - the Songs of Luther Vandross

Blackburn, 01.10.2016
Andy Mudd performs Billy Joel

Very happy memories of playing the Billy Joel set with my good friends Andy Mudd and Andy Morley at the Viva Blackpool Darren Day Show in 2014.

"Always & Forever" - the Songs of Luther Vandross

Will be playing bass for Matt Philips' show celebrating the music of Luther Vandross.  October at the Guild Hall / Charter Theatre in Preston.  My good friend Andy Mudd is the M.D.  Really looking forward to it.

Motown Gold

Booked for three more gigs with the brilliant Motown Gold during April 2016.  Always great fun playing classic dancefloor party tunes with this talented group of musicians.

Darren Day Promo

The promo video for my friend and brilliant cabaret performer Darren Day.  It was put together using excerpts from his headline spot at the That's What Friends Are For show in Blackpool, 2014.

Phil Collins Experience

Pleased and excited to have been asked to join this show, featuring the brilliant Deano Safi.  Looking forward to the gigs from summer 2016 and into the autumn.

Matt Philips Band, Bury

Very honoured to have been asked by my good friend Andy Mudd to step in as M.D. for this gig.  Really looking forward to it as well, after putting a top band together including Neil Marshall (drums), Toni Baker (keyboards) and Jonny Catt (guitar).

Nantwich Jazz, Blues & Music Festival 2016

Nice double-booking at this superb festival for the 2016 event.  On the Bank Holiday Monday, I'll be playing with the big Manatees blues rock band, complete with horn section and backing vocalists.  Then, one hour later, I am playing a slot with the Yellow Pad Band bossa nova trio.  More details for both bands via the Links page on this website.

The Somebodys, Scotch Corner

Always great gigging with Jonny Catt, Jake Fothergill and Kazik Pierlejewski!  Storm Desmond tried its best and relieved the whole venue of electricity for over two hours, but we eventually got on stage at 11pm!

More Castaways Gigs
28.11.2015 and 20.02.2016

Great gig at Broken Cross Club, Macclesfield with the Castaways.  Looking forward to the next one - Matt & Phred's, Manchester 20.2.2016.

Sophie Garner Band, Stockport

Very enjoyable and fun gig with Sophie Garner (vocals), Alistair Ballentyne (guitar) and Jermaine Risden (drums).

Reunion of the "That's What Friends Are For" Show

Brilliant to be reunited with all the gang - Andy Mudd, Andy Morley, Leye D Johns, Tracey Jordan, Caz Keye and Darren Day - for one more blast of this fabulous show.
